Common use of Benefit Continuation Clause in Contracts

Benefit Continuation. During an unpaid leave of absence, the employee shall be carried on the payroll on inactive status and, at his discretion, may make arrangements with the Department of Finance to continue the group health benefits at the employee’s expense.
