Common use of BID BREAKDOWN ON LUMP SUM Clause in Contracts

BID BREAKDOWN ON LUMP SUM. 41.1 Within fifteen (15) Days after the commencement date specified in the Notice to Proceed or Order to Work, unless otherwise directed by the Resident Engineer, the Contractor shall submit to the Resident Engineer a breakdown of its Bid price, or of lump sums bid for items of the Contract, showing the various operations to be performed under the Contract, as directed in the progress schedule required under Article 9, and the value of each of such operations, the total of such items to equal the lump sum price bid. Said breakdown must be approved in writing by the Resident Engineer. 41.2 No partial payment will be approved until the Contractor submits a bid breakdown that is acceptable to the Resident Engineer. 41.3 The Contractor shall also submit such other information relating to the bid breakdown as directed by the Resident Engineer. Thereafter, the breakdown may be used only for checking the Contractor's applications for partial payments hereunder, but shall not be binding upon the City, the Commissioner, or the Engineer for any purpose whatsoever.
