The Bilingual Program clause establishes the requirement for providing services, communications, or documentation in two specified languages. In practice, this may involve offering educational instruction, customer support, or official documents in both languages to accommodate speakers of each. The core function of this clause is to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for individuals who speak different languages, thereby reducing misunderstandings and promoting equal participation.
Bilingual Program. The Company will establish a bilingual premium of 50 cents per hour (not 401k or pension eligible) for Call Center positions that require proficiency in a second language. The premium will begin once the employee has qualified and entered the program. Eligible classifications for this bilingual premium include Service Representative I (50356342 - 2602), Service Representative I Typist (50372524 - 2605), Service Representative (50010448 – 2660), Service Representative Typist (50010453 – 2666), Senior Service Representative I (50010445 – 2650) and Senior Service Representative Typist I (50010480 – 2811).

  • E-Verify Program Grantee certifies that it utilizes and will continue to utilize the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system to determine the eligibility of: A. all persons employed to perform duties within Texas during the term of the Grant Agreement; and B. all persons, (including subcontractors) assigned by the Grantee to perform work pursuant to the Grant Agreement within the United States of America.

These characteristics are subject to modification with the District’s written approval:

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.
