Common use of Billing Procedures Clause in Contracts

Billing Procedures. DISTRICT will pay CONTRACTOR upon receipt of properly completed invoices, which shall be submitted to the contract manager not more often than monthly. The invoices shall describe and document, to the DISTRICT'S satisfaction, the work performed, the progress of the project, and fees. Payment shall be considered timely if made by the DISTRICT within thirty (30) days after receipt of properly completed invoices. Payment shall be sent to the address designated by the CONTRACTOR. The DISTRICT may, in its sole discretion, terminate the contract or withhold payments claimed by the CONTRACTOR for services rendered if the CONTRACTOR fails to satisfactorily comply with any term or condition of this contract. No payments in advance or in anticipation of services or supplies to be provided under this contract shall be made by the DISTRICT. The DISTRICT shall not pay any claims for payment for services submitted more than twelve (12) months after the calendar month in which the services were performed.
