Common use of CAD Drawings Clause in Contracts

CAD Drawings. Unless otherwise expressly provided under this Agreement, all Drawings and Record As-Built Drawings prepared by Contractor or its Subcontractors or Sub-subcontractors under this Agreement shall be prepared using computer aided design (“CAD”). All Record As-Built Drawing files shall be in fully operable and editable AutoCAD.dwg (2005 or later) format; provided, however, the Drawings (including Record As-Built Drawings) prepared by Siemens for the Siemens Equipment shall be provided in the formats required under the Siemens Contract. Contractor shall use commercially reasonable efforts to also provide Drawings, including Record As-Built Drawings, in other formats requested by Owner. All Drawings not Record As-Built Drawings shall utilize Microstation software and shall also be provided in .pdf format.
