Career Development Training. The employer will refund tuition, registration, class or lab fees; reimburse cost of text books and/or manuals after the successful completion of job-related training programs which were approved by the Administration prior to the employee’s enrollment. Employer agrees to give good faith consideration to requests. Expenses will be limited to a maximum of $1,500.00 for the entire membership per school year. The term “job-related” shall refer to any job within this PACE unit. In addition, when management mandates CDA certification (limited to employees hired before 5/1/99), the District agrees that the entire cost of this certification will be paid by the District and will not be applied to the above-mentioned $1,500.00. Loss of CDA certification shall not result in any Employer obligation to pay for future re-certification or reinstatement of the CDA.
