Common use of CDS Clause in Contracts

CDS. A. 245 (and 246) - Title and performer/group/composer must match disc (or packaging if it is not on the disc) B. 250 - Edition statement (if any) should match disc (or packaging if it is not on the disc) C. 26x - Distributor/Recording company and date should match disc (or packaging if it is not on the disc) D. 3xx – description of disc(s) must match E. 3xx - number of discs and other contents must match i. Normal CD insert does not have to be listed in contents F. 5xx – Track list (if given) must match disc or packaging G. These differences do require a separate record i. Change in content – different tracks, additional tracks ii. Explicit version vs. edited version iii. Addition of discs – DVD, live + studio recordings H. These differences do not require a separate record i. Addition of materials such as booklets, posters, snazzy containers, t shirts
