Common use of Certain Headings Clause in Contracts

Certain Headings. Certain sections of Articles IV, V, and VIII contain descriptions or statements of the purposes of, or requirements stated, in those sections. These descriptions or statements are to provide background information to assist in the interpretation of the requirements. The absence of a description or statement of purpose with respect to any requirement does not diminish the enforceability of the requirement. If a provision in Articles IV, V, and VIII is not delineated as “purpose,” “background,” or “definition,” it is a requirement.
