Certification of Disability. The Employer may require an employee to periodically provide medical certification during the period of disability and the date when the employee is expected to be able to return to regular duties. Such certification may be required, in an acceptable form, from the employee’s physician. Where the Employer or the Medical Consultants of the Employer require a Medical Assessment, it shall be at the Employer’s expense. Failure to provide proper medical certification may result in the employee being denied coverage under paragraphs 2 and 5 of this Letter of Understanding.
