Certification Regarding Workers’ Compensation. By executing and delivering this PSA, the Contractor shall be deemed and construed to thereby certify that it is aware of the provisions of Labor Code Section 3700, which requires every employer to obtain Workers’ Compensation insurance or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code, and Contractor agrees that it shall comply with such provisions before commencing the performance of the Preconstruction Services.

  • Employee Entitlements while on Worker’s Compensation If an Employee is absent from work and is in receipt of worker’s compensation, the Employee’s contract of employment shall remain intact during the period of absence, the Employer shall continue to make contributions on behalf of the Employee to all the Employee Entitlement Funds as outlined in clauses 20 to 23 (inclusive) of this Agreement.   • Independent Contractor; Workers’ Compensation Insurance The Contractor is performing as an independent entity under this Contract. No part of this Contract shall be construed to represent the creation of an employment, agency, partnership or joint venture agreement between the parties.
