Common use of Change Order Defined Clause in Contracts

Change Order Defined. Change Orders shall mean a written order to CONTRACTOR executed by COUNTY and the Architect and/or Engineer, issued after execution of this Agreement, authorizing and directing a change in the Work or an adjustment in the Agreement Price or the Term, or any combination thereof. The Agreement Price and the Term may be changed only by Change Order. Changed Work cannot be started until a fully executed Change Order is on file with COUNTY; including but not limited to Change Orders that need approval of COUNTY’s Board of County Commissioners.
