Common use of Changes in Key Grant Personnel Clause in Contracts

Changes in Key Grant Personnel. When it is specifically required as a condition of a Grant, the replacement of the Project director or the co-director or a substantial reduction in the level of their effort, e.g., their unanticipated absence for more than three (3) months, or a twenty-five percent (25%) reduction in the time devoted to the Project, requires Prior Approval from DHS. Prior Approval will also be needed for the replacement or the substantial reduction in the level of effort of other personnel whose work is deemed by DHS to be critical to the Project's successful completion. All requests for approval of changes in key Project personnel shall be signed by Provider’s grant administrator and submitted to the appropriate DHS program officer. Evidence of the qualifications for replacement personnel (such as a résumé) shall be included.
