Common use of Changes to Price Clause in Contracts

Changes to Price. The price of this Contract is not fixed, and may be altered as a result of: • the actual cost of Prime Cost Items and work for which Provisional Sums have been specified exceeding the estimates set out in this Contract (see items 19 & 20 of the Schedule); • interest on overdue payments (see clause 28); • surveying of the land where this is required (see clause 14); • any additional amounts payable for excavation work for the construction of footings (see clause 80); • any order made by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal or a Court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction; • costs and delays attributable to the Owner (see clause 88); • GST (see clause 134). •costs attributable to compliance with any environmental conditions imposed by any authority including Carbon Tax. Please make sure that you fully understand how the clauses dealing with each of these matters affect the Contract Price.
