Common use of Chapter 150E Clause in Contracts

Chapter 150E. To prescribe and enforce reasonable rules and regulations for the maintenance of discipline and for the performance of work in accordance with the requirements of the Town. The Employer shall permit the use of the bulletin boards located in the Police Station Guard Room by the Unit for the posing of notices concerning Unit business and activities. The Employer shall provide and maintain such a bulletin board.β€Œ The Union dues of employment covered by this Agreement shall be deducted each week from the wages of each employee who has signed an authorization form provided by the Union and presented to the Treasurer of the Town of Billerica in accordance with the provisions of Section 17A, Chapter 180 of the General Laws. All employees covered by this Agreement shall be required to pay an agency fee.β€Œ Pursuant to General Laws, Chapter 150E, Section 17B, it shall be a condition of employment that on or after the thirtieth (30th) day of employment in the bargaining unit, each and every member of the bargaining unit shall pay the Local 5A and 5B N E P B A and agency service fee which shall be proportionately commensurate with the cost of collective bargaining and contract administration. The agency fee shall be deducted on a weekly basis, shall be equal in amount to the sum set from time to time by the Union as dues, and shall be used solely for the purpose of paying expenses of collective bargaining.
