Common use of Claims for Back Pay Clause in Contracts

Claims for Back Pay. All grievances must be filed, in writing, within fifteen (15) days from the time the alleged violation was to have occurred. The Board shall not be required to pay back wages more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date a written grievance is filed. 1. All claims for back wages shall be limited to the amount of wages that the employee would otherwise have earned, less any compensation that he/she may have received from any source of a like nature during the period of the back pay. 2.
