CLARIFICATION OF SPECIFICATION DOCUMENTS Clause Samples

The Clarification of Specification Documents clause establishes a process for resolving ambiguities or uncertainties in the technical or project specifications provided in a contract. Typically, it requires one party—often the contractor or supplier—to promptly seek clarification from the other party, such as the client or project manager, whenever they encounter unclear requirements or conflicting instructions in the specification documents. This clause ensures that all parties have a shared understanding of the project requirements, thereby minimizing the risk of errors, delays, or disputes arising from misinterpretation of the specifications.
