Classification Conditions. Where a new job is established, or where existing job duties are changed such that an employee is incorrectly classified, the appropriate classification, wage rates, wage ranges and progressions shall be negotiated and the applicable conditions of this agreement shall apply. If no agreement is reached on the wage rate and/or progression the matter may be submitted to arbitration. If a wage increase results, the same shall be retroactive to the date that the job duties were changed, or the new job created. The Arbitrator established to rule on the grievance shall be restricted solely to determining the appropriateness of the wage rate as applicable to other related rates within the bargaining unit.
