1. All of the above rates will be reduced by .30 cents per hour during the probationary period of all newly hired employees.

CLASSIFICATIONS & RATES OF PAY. The following shall constitute the Classifications and Rates of Pay applicable during the Agreement term, except only that those employees in the classifications shown whose hourly rate exceeds their classification rate will not have their rate reduced. As subsequent increases cause the classification or step rate to exceed their rate, they will be increased to the classification or step rate, as applicable. Wage rates and progressions set forth in this agreement are minimums. Prior to increasing rates, modifying progressions, or the implementation, change or deletion of incentive plans, the Company will first meet with the Union to discuss the change. During the term of this Agreement, the Union may request of the Company a review of any job(s) modified or changed to the extent that a significant increase in the level of knowledge or expertise to perform the modified job is required. Newly created jobs will be handled in the same manner as has been past practice. The purpose of the review will be to determine if the job may warrant bargaining over classification and pay. Certain information regarding modification of a specific job may be made available to the Union upon request and may only be utilized for the stated purpose of this section. If there is any disagreement over whether any job has been modified to the extent it would warrant a change in classification and pay, the matter may be referred to the grievance process. Ratification – Effective November 27, 2022 all wage rates will be increased by one dollar ($1.00). This increase will occur within sixty (60) days of ratification and be retroactively applied for all hours worked back to October 17, 2022. In order to receive the retroactive payment, the employee must be an active employee at the time of payment. Effective October 15, 2023 – all wage rates will be increased by one dollar ($1.00). Effective October 20, 2024 – all wage rates will be increased by fifty cents (50¢).
CLASSIFICATIONS & RATES OF PAY. Across the Board increase to the expiration of Agreement as follows: April 1, 2021 April 1, 2022 April 1, 2024 Probationary rate: The rate of pay for the first six (6) months of employment is $1.00 less per hour APPENDIX “B” The following benefits will be applicable to full-time employees upon completion of the probationary period. The Weekly Sickness and Accident, Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance will be applicable to the part-time employees upon completion of the probationary period.
1. The Company shall arrange to have each employee and eligible dependents covered by the appropriate plan, Company paid.
2. A Group Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Plan providing $20,000.00 insurance will be provided for each employee, and paid by the Company.
3. Employees will be provided with Weekly Sickness and Accident Insurance to the extent of eighty-five (85%) of basic wage rate excluding shift premiums for thirty-six (36) weeks and thereafter shall be entitled to Long Term Disability Insurance in accordance with Appendix “B”, and any other entitlements under Appendix “B”. Weekly sickness and Accident Insurance will be effective on the first day of accident, first day admission to an O.H.S. contract hospital and eight (8th) day illness. Cost of these insurance benefits will be paid by the Company.
4. Sick leave is to be granted to the employees on the following basis: (effective August 1, 1979).
4.01 Employees having completed their probationary period shall accumulate up to seven (7) day’s sick leave with pay, on the basis of one (1) day per month worked or a major portion thereof in any calendar year which for the purpose of this subsection will be from August 1st to July 31st and such accumulation shall exclude time spent in filling in or replacing employees off sick, on vacation or leave of absence. Employees who are on Workers’ Compensation Pension and unable to work for the Company shall continue to accumulate sick leave credits.
4.02 Any employee with unused sick leave credit at the end of any calendar year shall be paid for same at one hundred percent (100%) of his regular rate of pay at that time. Such payment shall be made on or about December 15th in each year.
4.03 One (1) day sick leave shall be equivalent of seventy-five percent (75%) of normal hours worked at the employee’s regular hourly rate.

CLASSIFICATIONS & RATES OF PAY. 12.1 The classifications and rates of pay for LH Employees are provided in clauses 2 and 5 of Schedule 1, respectively.
12.2 The classifications and rates of pay for Depot Employees are specified in clauses 2 and 9 of Schedule 2, respectively.
12.3 The rates of pay and other remuneration to Employees prescribed in this Agreement have been calculated taking into consideration all allowances, penalties and any other remuneration which would otherwise apply to Employees under any applicable Award(s), except as otherwise provided.

21.02 The rates of pay described above are minimums only. The Company reserves the right to pay rates and/or premiums above the minimum.
21.03 Employees being paid above the applicable rate for their classification and length of service in that classification shall be "grandfathered", retaining the dollar differential above scale when the scale changes.
21.04 An employee's wages will be increased on the employee's anniversary date in accordance with the wage grid set out above.
21.05 The above rates of pay reflect pay equity adjustments previously made with the agreement of the Union. In addition, the above rates are in compliance with the Ontario Pay Equity Act.

CLASSIFICATIONS & RATES OF PAY. New employees shall serve a probationary period of six (6) months before they shall be placed on a full-time basis. The Employer shall decide by the end of the probationary period concerning the employment status of each new hire. CLASSIFICATIONS & RATES OF PAY.
1. During the term of this Agreement, the classifications of jobs and the rates of pay applicable thereto shall be as set forth in Schedule A of this Agreement. All rate changes will be effective on the closest Monday in which the schedule date falls.
2. An employee who is temporarily transferred shall receive the higher of either his own rate of pay, or the rate for the job into which he is transferred, for the duration of such transfer.
3. All employees hired on or after the date of this Agreement will be enrolled in direct deposit for all pay.
CLASSIFICATIONS & RATES OF PAY. 7.01 Wage schedules applicable to various job classifications are as set forth on Schedule A.
a. Additional classifications may be established only by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Union during the term of this Agreement and the rates for same shall be subject to negotiation between the Employer and the Union.
