Classifying instances of OperationType Clause Samples

Classifying instances of OperationType. The component for classifying instances of OperationType determines which subtype is applicable to each instance determined by the identification component. That is, for each verb and noun in a sentence classified as a potential instance of OperationType, this component determines whether the specific case expresses an instance of action, ownership, emergence or status (e.g., `create’ 🡪 action, `search’ 🡪 action). As in the previous component, lexical semantic and syntactic properties are exploited to perform classification.
