Common use of Classroom Visitations Clause in Contracts

Classroom Visitations. The Toledo School Board welcomes and urges citizens to visit the schools and to discuss the instructional program with staff members. Visitors shall receive approval from the principal or his/her designee before entering and observing classes. To provide patrons of the district the opportunity to visit classrooms with the least interruption to the teaching process, the following procedure must be followed: 1. All visitors to a school and/or classroom shall obtain the approval of the principal or supervisor and, if the visit is to a classroom, the time will be arranged after the principal or supervisor has conferred with the employee. 2. The employee shall be afforded the opportunity to confer with the classroom visitor before and/or after the visitation. 3. Each school shall establish a procedure for dealing with visitors to its site.
