Clearance of the Site Clause Samples

The 'Clearance of the Site' clause requires the contractor to remove all equipment, materials, debris, and temporary structures from the construction site upon completion of the work. In practice, this means the contractor must ensure the site is left in a clean, safe, and orderly condition, often restoring it to its original state or as specified in the contract. This clause ensures that the site is ready for its intended use after construction, preventing disputes over leftover materials or hazards and facilitating a smooth handover to the client.

The Contractor shall promptly clear away and remove from the Site any wreckage, rubbish or temporary Works no longer required and leave the Site and the Works in a clean and safe condition to the sole satisfaction of the Authority.
