Collateral Account and Collection Account Clause Samples

The 'Collateral Account and Collection Account' clause defines the establishment and management of specific bank accounts used to hold collateral and collect payments related to a financial transaction. Typically, a collateral account is set up to securely hold assets pledged by a borrower, while a collection account is used to receive payments such as loan repayments or proceeds from the collateral. These accounts are often controlled by a trustee or agent to ensure that funds are properly segregated and applied according to the agreement. The core function of this clause is to safeguard the interests of the parties by ensuring transparency and control over the handling of collateral and related payments, thereby reducing credit and operational risk.
