Common use of Commitment to Sustainability Clause in Contracts

Commitment to Sustainability. (A) LEED Rating System The Developer agrees that it will design and build the shell and core of the Building to meet certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (“LEED”) Green Building Rating System developed by the United States Green Building Council at the Silver Standard level, based upon the criteria existing as of the Effective Date, provided, however, that the City agrees that no provision of this Agreement shall require the Developer to actually apply for and/or be granted such certification.
