Its core function is to provide a clear framework for managing unforeseen community-wide events, ensuring that all parties understand their rights and duties when normal operations are disrupted.
COMMUNITY EMERGENCY. If an employee is called upon by the Municipality or the Provincial Government to aid the community served by the University in some disaster, the University agrees to retain the employee on the University payroll and agrees to reimburse the employee for the difference between any amount received for such service and their normal working day’s pay. If an employee is on vacation leave or earned time off at the time of summons for such effort, the number of days so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreeable time.
