Community of Practice. A collaboration of organizations with similar requirements, responsibilities, or interests.
Community of Practice is a group of grantees that agrees to interact regularly to solve a persistent problem or improve practice in an area that is important to them and the success of their project. Geographic Area to Be Served: is defined as the territorial boundaries of the Northern Cheyenne Reservation and town limits of Colstrip and Ashland, Montana. Partners: are community-based organizations, tribal government-based entities or programs or local education agencies (LEA) that are located within the GATBS and partner with the BGCNCN on planning and implementing the PPN. Planning Grant Activities: are the necessary activities that will take place over the Planning Grant Year that will fulfill the Promise Neighborhoods grant agreement. These activities include, but are not limited to: Planning Grant Year: is defined as September 2010 through September 2011.

Discourse: Traditionally defined in formal linguistics as “the linguistic level in which sentences are combined into larger units,” (▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, 2003, p. 44). To be held in tandem with this form-focused definition, is a definition that focuses upon function. “Discourse, in this view, is language in context: that is language as put to use in social situations, […] contextually specific ways of using language,” (▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, 2003, p. 44-45). Discourse can be understood as a grouping of communicative acts and speech events, as a grouping of utterances, which may be recursively embedded (Kramsch, 2002).
Community of Practice. Sessions throughout the teaching cycle of the course, date and time TBA and varies by course. Participation in this Community of Practice is mandatory for teachers in their first year of implementation. If the teacher cannot attend a session, the teacher commits to working with the LSU course instructor individually. There will be no charge for these sessions; stipends for participating teachers will be determined and paid for by school districts.
Community of Practice. In diagram 1, this existing WSS community (grey colour in inner circle) will contribute to expanding the numbers of schools actively involved in putting SEND practice at the heart of their activities through the work of SEND Leaders (one in each of the eight RSC regions- dotted circle in eight segments). Within each region (dotted circle and segment on diagram) the SEND leader will bring together existing local networks to generate a new integrated network extending and sustaining it where needed to embrace a larger number of schools and school groups. This COP will build on and expand our already positive links with: • the opportunity areas (where we have SEND Advocates, SEND Reviewers and a number of schools both through existing WSS and reach of our school networks) • each RSC office (each RSC is aware of and supports the work of WSS and Sir David Carter inputted into our most recent conference) • Teaching Schools Council who are both aware of and support the work of WSS Through Samuel Ward Academy Trust we are also building into the Research Schools Network and building on our existing partnership with Education Endowment Foundation programme but we will be reaching out beyond this group. Coordinated stakeholder engagement developing a Community of Practice to catalyse and accelerate action for reforms, focussing on the wider enabling environment, including farmer groups at both the national and international levels. Community of Practice. (CoP): Project sites will participate in communities of practice facilitated by The Able Trust and CFEF. CoPs will engage in discussions, problem-solving, information sharing and relationship building. The notion of a CoP is to enable collective learning, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ interaction between sites, and encourage a willingness to share ideas.
Community of Practice. The Contractor will Plan, organize, and facilitate a monthly LGBTQ+ Support Community of Practice to provide additional resources and opportunities for learning and discussion for regional YCCTPP partners and those engaged in training and technical assistance support. A Community of Practice is a group of people who share a common concern, set of problems, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfill both individual and group goals.
