Compensation for Accrued Sick Leave. An employee or employee's estate shall be entitled to receive a cash payout equal to 60% of the value of their accrued unused sick leave credit, from July 1, 1974 forward, computed from the last base wage of the employee, including all base monthly special assignment and incentive pay. Compensation for Accrued Sick Leave. Sick leave is provided by the Employer in the nature of insurance against loss of income due to the employee’s illness or injury. Compensation for Accrued Sick Leave. Employees may be compensated for a maximum of 960 hours upon separation from Mono County as follows: 1. If the Employees has worked for the County for less than five (5) years, no compensation shall be paid for accrued sick leave. 2. If the Employee has worked for the County more than five (5) years, but less than ten (10) years, then the Employee shall be paid seventy-five percent (75%) of the dollar value of the accrued sick leave. 3. If the Employee has worked for the County more than ten (10) years, then the Employee shall be paid one hundred percent (100%) of the dollar value of the accrued sick leave. 4. If the Employee is terminated by reason of layoff, then the Employee shall be paid one hundred percent (100%) of the dollar value of the accrued sick leave. 5. The dollar value of the Employee’s accrued sick leave shall be based upon the Employee’s Base Rate of Pay on the date of separation.

Compensation for Accrued Sick Leave. Upon retirement, employees will receive payment for fifty (50) percent of accumulated sick leave based upon the rate of pay at the time of retirement. The total payment of eligible sick leave cash-out upon retirement shall be submitted into the employee’s HRA ▇▇▇▇ account as an Employer Contribution. Upon the death of an employee, the employee’s beneficiary will receive payment for all accumulated sick leave based upon the employee’s base rate of pay at the time of death.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time and one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for eight hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than eight hours worked, provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime pursuant to the provisions herein. 103.
