Common use of Compensation for Appearance Clause in Contracts

Compensation for Appearance. ▇▇▇▇▇ agrees that when they direct an Operator in conjunction with any legal matters involving METRO directly, or indirectly, or for time spent under subpoena by METRO in any criminal proceedings wherein the Operator’s presence is required, due to their witnessing occurrences while on duty, to compensate the Operator at the rate of pay prescribed by the terms of this Agreement, less any other compensation received as a result of the appearance. Pay will include travel from the Operator’s home Base to point of appearance and return. METRO will notify the Operator at least five (5) days prior to notification of the court date. If there is a conflict with signed-on Annual Leave, METRO will work with the Operator to resolve the conflict.
