Compensation For Changes. With respect to all change order requests involving credit to the County or additional compensation to the Construction Manager, the Construction Manager shall (i) obtain from subcontractors and suppliers the best possible price quotations; (ii) review such quotations to ascertain whether they are reasonable; (iii) prepare an itemized accounting together with appropriate supporting data, including reasonable expenditures by, and savings to, those performing the Work involved in the proposed change; and (iv) provide a reasonable price quotation to the designated Professional. 9.5.1 If price quotations for change order requests are determined by the Professional to be unreasonable, the Construction Manager shall, in writing, justify the price quotations or provide additional back-up materials. If after review of the additional information the Professional determines the quotation is unreasonable, the County may require the subject Work be performed on a time and material basis. 9.5.2 The Construction Manager and its subcontractors and suppliers will be allowed no additional compensation for any costs, fees or expenses incurred in performing services already required by this Agreement, and will not be entitled to additional reimbursement for home-office, other non-jobsite or indirect overhead expenses, but will be paid for change order Work as allowed by other sections of this Agreement. 9.5.3 It is the responsibility of the Construction Manager to review and approve all pricing of additional work required of its subcontractors and suppliers. 9.5.4 Additional work which is not part of the Contract Documents and which does not impact the critical path will require an executed change order and is not entitled to an extension of time but the Construction Manager will be compensated as provided in Paragraph 4.3, Chapter 1. 9.5.5 Additional work which is not part of the Contract Documents and which does impact the critical path will require a change order and the Construction Manager is entitled to an extension of time and the Construction Manager will be compensated as provided in Paragraph 4.3, Chapter 1. No other costs relating to the approved extension of time will be permitted.
