Completing the Self. Assessment i) The evaluation cycle begins with the Educator reviewing District and School goals, as well as receiving broad guidelines from their Evaluator about which standards and curriculum areas to focus on. ii) The self-assessment includes: (a) An analysis of evidence of student learning and growth for students under the Educator’s responsibility. Note: Evaluators must provide data related to MCAS and other district common assessments, (b) An assessment of practice against each of the four Performance Standards of effective practice using the district’s rubric. (c) Proposed goals to pursue: (1) At least one goal directly related to improving the Educator’s own professional practice. (2) At least one goal directly related to improving student learning.
