Concrete Structures Sample Clauses

Concrete Structures. Loading combinations will be in accordance with ACI 318.
Concrete Structures. Assess the adequacy of structural members; and the type, size, and spacing of steel reinforcing for the given application.
Concrete Structures. CONCRETE STRUCTURES shall include cast in place piers, strip footings, and abutments for the boardwalk pedestrian bridge. Concrete for CONCRETE STRUCTURES shall conform to “Structure Concrete” of these Special Provisions. Reinforcement shall conform to “BAR REINFORCING STEEL,” of these Special Provisions. Unless otherwise shown on the plans, splices in transverse reinforcement are not allowed. Only one splice is permitted in any longitudinal bar between transverse joints, and the splices shall be staggered. Weep holes shall conform to STANDARD PLAN 1325. The ENGINEER may allow air-placed concrete for concrete structures. Precast concrete for the boardwalk pedestrian bridge shall conform to the specifications on sheet 25 of 25 of the project plans.
Concrete Structures. Concrete structures such as catch basins, canal gutters, junction boxes and manholes for the drainage system, and septic vault for sewerage system, shall be constructed in accordance with the Plans and Specifications on Concrete Work.
Concrete Structures. The work specified in this Section consists of the construction of concrete structures and other concrete members at the locations and to the dimensions shown on the plans in accordance with Section 400 of the FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. All concrete construction not covered under a separate specific technical provision or pay item should be constructed in accordance with this technical provision. Exposed concrete surfaces shall receive a Class I Surface Finish as required by Article 400-15.2.2 of the Standard Specifications, unless otherwise noted in the construction plans.
Concrete Structures a. A visual inspection of the conditions of the aeration basin structure (interior and exterior), purge fan rooms, and ▇▇▇▇▇ Tunnel will be required to determine the cause of damage and the extent of damage, prior to formulating repair details. b. Core samples and surface penetrating radar may be necessary to obtain additional information such as concrete thickness and deterioration, rebar locations, carbonation, and any other deficiencies. Refer to Exhibit 19.3 for existing concrete core lab results already taken. c. Liquid and gas leakage from deck appurtenances shall be considered when developing repair details to prevent fluid leakage. d. A structural analysis for the concrete deck of the aeration basins will be required, including vehicle load calculations, to determine if the structural capacity can be attained prior to formulating repair details. Typical OC SAN maintenance vehicles, crane and equipment shall be taken into account in the load analysis. CONSULTANT shall consider if there is sufficient structural distress to warrant not restoring the deck’s structural integrity to its original design. Refer to Exhibits 19.1 to 19.4 for additional details. e. Summarize findings and recommendations in the Structural Design Parameters Design Memo.
Concrete Structures a. Girders sheared at the ends to the extent that displacement has occurred. b. Loss of post-tensioning
Concrete Structures. Division 6 Structures (******)
Concrete Structures a. Concrete girders with over 30% of the primary moment steel severed. b. Loss of section in beam ends and/or spalls in concrete girder supports where girders have less than 80% bearing area remaining.
