Conduct Stakeholder Interviews. One-on-one interviews with local government and business leaders, developers and homebuilders, and housing organizations to assess the housing market and the factors affecting affordability. These interviews will be conducted virtually through Microsoft Teams or Zoom meetings and can be one on one or group interviews. The CT will collaborate with CS to create an appropriate list of interviewees.

The purpose of these interviews is to gather an initial set of public inputs that will help identify early themes and planning issues that will need to be addressed in the comprehensive planning effort and gather information about Overland Park’s current challenges and opportunities. Staff will take an active role in scheduling stakeholders together within the stakeholder interview period.

The Consultant will work with Key West Transit staff to identify and recruit appropriate individuals to interview. Stakeholder interviews will include a representative group of Key West Transit operators. As the first line of contact and interaction with Key West Transit riders, bus operators tend to understand the needs and concerns of the system users and can provide input into understanding comments received on surveys and through workshops. The Consultant will then schedule and conduct the interviews using an interview script that will be developed and submitted to Key West Transit for review prior to the first interview. A separate interview script will be developed for the transit operator group.
