Common use of Construction Authorization Clause in Contracts

Construction Authorization. Construction Authorization shall mean a written work order prepared by the Project Director and issued to the Construction Manager. Construction Authorizations shall be used prior to the date of the GMP Amendment. The Construction Manager’s costs for labor, materials, equipment, overhead and profit related to Work performed pursuant to the Construction Authorizations shall be included in the GMP. Construction Change Directive (CCD) – Construction Change Directive (or CCD) shall mean a written order, prepared by the Architect-Engineer and executed by the Owner, directing a change in the Work and stating a proposed basis for adjustment, if any, in the GMP or Contract Time, or both. A CCD shall be used in the absence of total agreement on the terms of a Change Order.
