Construction Model Clause Samples

The Construction Model clause defines the specific approach, standards, and methodologies to be used during the construction phase of a project. It typically outlines the type of construction (such as design-build or traditional design-bid-build), the roles and responsibilities of involved parties, and the technical requirements or codes to be followed. By clearly establishing these parameters, the clause ensures that all parties have a shared understanding of how the construction will proceed, thereby minimizing misunderstandings and reducing the risk of disputes related to project execution.
Construction Model. A 2-D or 3-D digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility, or the components or systems thereof, that encompasses building geometry, spatial relationships and quantities and properties of building components and systems and that is developed by the Contractor or one of its Subcontractors before or during the Construction Phase of the Project. While the creation of a single non-federated Construction Model is not expressly required, Contractor shall make reasonable efforts to ensure the use of the main modeling software and minimize the use of other platforms in the development of any federated models.
Construction Model. The Issued for Construction model represents the final Design Model. It will be in Revit, and Navisworks format compiled and prepared by the Consultant team. It will be given to the owner and construction manager as part of the Issued for Construction documents. The Construction model will be an editable working model fit for use by the construction manager and is for reference only. All construction must take place per the agreed upon contractual documentation. The Navisworks model is free to be shared as deemed necessary by the Prime Consultant and General Contractor as it is read only.
Construction Model. The BIM will be augmented and coordinated to include all shop drawing, product data and other submittal information required for fabrication and installation of the Work together with detailed drawings, specifications and other documents required to complete Agency Review, Project Purchasing and construction of the Work.
Construction Model. A 3-D digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility, or the components or systems thereof, that encompasses building geometry, spatial relationships and quantities and properties of building components and systems and that is developed by the Contractor and the Subcontractors before or during the Construction Phase of the Project. Unless owner specifically agrees otherwise, the Construction Model shall represent a spatially accurate actual as-built condition. Components of the building shall be modeled and their corresponding data shall be built into the model as detailed in the project BIM Execution Plan. This includes Tier 1 & Tier 2 items as described in sections 1.3.12 and 2.2. Reference section 2.5.1.1.5. 1.3.11.1 Coordination model(s) – Typically a derivation of the Construction Model in either a Navisworks or BIM 360 Glue format used by the contractor and sub-contractors to coordinate the objects and systems to be installed during the course of construction.
Unless owner specifically agrees otherwise, the Construction Model shall be all-inclusive and represent the actual as-built condition. All components of the building shall be modeled and their corresponding data shall be built into the model as a properties or parameters so that all information resides within the model. This data includes all Tier 1 & Tier 2 items as described in sections 1.3.12 and 2.2. Reference section 2.5.1.1.5.

Related to Construction Model

  • Construction Schedule The progress schedule of construction of the Project as provided by Developer and approved by District.

  • Construction Progress Schedule A schedule indicating proposed activity sequences and durations, milestone dates for receipt and approval of pertinent information, preparation, submittal, and processing of Shop Drawings and Samples, delivery of materials or equipment requiring long-lead time procurement, and proposed date(s) of Material Completion and Occupancy and Final Completion. The schedule will be developed to represent the sixteen or seventeen CSI Specification Divisions. It shall have a minimum number of activities as required to adequately represent to Owner the complete scope of work and define the Project’s critical path and associated activities. If the Project is to be phased, then each individual Phase should be identified from start through completion of the overall Project and should be individually scheduled and described, including any Owner’s occupancy requirements and showing portions of the Project having occupancy priority. The format of the schedule will have dependencies indicated on a monthly grid identifying milestone dates such as construction start, phase construction, structural top out, dry-in, rough-in completion, metal stud and drywall completion, equipment installation, systems operational, Material Completion and Occupancy Date, final inspection dates, Punchlist, and Final Completion date.

  • Construction Methods 3.1 The Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, materials, labor and work for the excavation and removal of the unsuitable subgrade soils and their subsequent replacement with the specified backfill soils as directed by the Owner’s representative. All work under this item shall be performed in a safe and workmanlike manner. 3.2 All work shall be performed in accordance with DelDOT Standard Specifications Section 821. 3.3 Following the removal of existing pavements, the Owner’s representative will review the exposed subgrade and provide recommendations for the undercutting of unsuitable subgrade materials as required. The depth and extent of undercut excavation, if required, will be determined by the Owner’s representative at the time of excavation. 3.4 All excavated materials shall become the property of the Contractor and be removed from the site at the completion of the project at no additional expense to the Owner. 3.5 Undercut excavations should be backfilled with graded aggregate. Backfill shall be placed in loose lifts not exceeding 8 inches thick. Each lift should be compacted with at least 3 passes of a minimum 5-ton, walk-behind or self-propelled vibratory roller when the size of the area permits, or with a vibrating plate mechanical compactor for smaller areas. Lift thickness shall be reduced to 6 inch loose lift when using a vibratory plate compactor. 3.6 The Contractor shall take precautions as necessary to minimize the potential for disturbance or softening of the pavement subgrade materials from inclement weather or construction traffic. As a minimum, this shall include the placement of backfill on the same day as the excavation. Any soft areas which develop shall be undercut and replaced with graded aggregate at no additional cost to the Owner. 3.7 Where undercutting is performed, the geotextile fabric shall be installed. The fabric should be pulled tight and lapped a minimum of 12 inches.

  • Construction Completion The related Construction shall have been completed substantially in accordance with the related Plans and Specifications, the related Deed and all Applicable Laws, and such Leased Property shall be ready for occupancy and operation. All fixtures, equipment and other property contemplated under the Plans and Specifications to be incorporated into or installed in such Leased Property shall have been substantially incorporated or installed, free and clear of all Liens except for Permitted Liens.
