Common use of Continuation Coverage Clause in Contracts

Continuation Coverage. Consistent with state and federal laws, certain ASF Members, former ASF Members, dependents, and former dependents may continue group health, dental, and/or life coverage at their own expense for a fixed length of time. As of the date of this Agreement, state and federal laws allow certain group coverages to be continued if they would otherwise be terminated due to: a. termination of employment (except for gross misconduct); b. layoff; c. reduction of hours to an ineligible status; d. dependent child becoming ineligible due to change in age, student status, marital status, or financial support (in the case of a ▇▇▇▇▇▇ child or stepchild); e. death of ASF Member; f. divorce or legal separation; or g. a covered ASF Member’s enrollment in Medicare.
