In July 2008, the County entered into an agreement with the Superior Court to formalize these services. Although that agreement expired on June 30, 2011, both agencies continue to provide these unique services to each other. The agreement was not renewed due to staffing turnover, competing priorities, and a comprehensive cost analysis review and documentation of all the services provided by the specific County departments. In October of 2013, a new agreement was approved by the Board of Supervisors and the Superior Court for the period of July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. The parties agreed to continue providing services under this agreement from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015. New agreements will be considered for execution each fiscal year thereafter to facilitate the reimbursement process.
