Common use of Contract Period Extension Clause in Contracts

Contract Period Extension. (a) On or before the date falling twelve (12) months prior to the then Expiry Date, or such later date as may be agreed by the Parties, the Authority shall have the option, on giving written notice to the Operator, to extend the then Expiry Date by a period of twelve (12) months. (b) Upon the Authority exercising its rights under clause 4.2(a), all references in this Agreement to “Expiry Date” shall be construed as referring to the date contemplated by paragraph (b) of its definition.
