Contract Service Orders and Implementation of Work Procedures. 12.1.1 Work under this as-needed contract is project-driven, and no particular tasks have yet been specified. Since the exact nature and timing of anticipated work done under this as-needed contract is not known, the City will prepare site specific project requirements as the need for these services arise. Each specific-work assignment shall be executed via individual Contract Service Orders (“CSO”) operating within the framework of this Master Agreement (“MA”). The total value of all awarded CSOs under this MA may cumulatively add up to but may not exceed the total MA value. 12.1.2 The Consultant shall perform work at the agreed upon unit (time and material basis or lump sum prices) that are developed from the Calculation of Charges (Fee Schedule) for each proposal and CSO. Consultant shall be ready to perform the work within twenty-four (24) hours of the date of receipt of a fully executed CSO. Each CSO will designate the corresponding project location, scope of work to be performed, time for completion of the work and any other requirement(s) for a specific-work assignment. 12.1.3 Project work may consist of many smaller projects and/or fewer high- value projects. SF Public Works may seek price quotations for performance of the work from one, or more of the Contractors awarded a contract by Public Works. The Director of Public Works shall have the authority to accept a quotation that is not the lowest quotation if it would best serve the public interest. The Director of Public Works may also reject any and all quotations. For work where it is infeasible to obtain quotations, the work may be performed under a force account agreement under an emergency time and materials basis. 12.1.4 Performance of work will be initiated in the following manner after the Agreement is certified and awarded:
