Contract Work Hours and Safety. Standards Act of 1962: Department or Contractor shall ensure all contracts comply with the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act of 1962 (40 U.S.C. § 3702) which requires that workers receive overtime compensation at a rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times their regular hourly wage after they have worked forty (40) hours in one week.
