Common use of Convalescence Benefit Clause in Contracts

Convalescence Benefit. Subject to the terms of this coverage, the insurer will pay an amount that corresponds to a convalescence daily benefit of 7 days immediately following the date the insured underwent day surgery or after any episode of hospitalization. This convalescence benefit is paid even if the insured happens to die at the hospital. The daily convalescence allowance corresponds to the hospitalization coverage described in the SUMMARY OF COVERAGES.
