Common use of Copyrights Clause in Contracts

Copyrights. (1) The Employer and the Union agree that original articles, technical papers, information reports and/or instructional notes prepared by the employee in the course of their duties for the Employer, shall be retained by the Employer. (2) The Employer further agrees that the employee may be granted permission to quote selected portions of such material in a larger work or to publish the material in related journals. (b) The Employer agrees that an employee may prepare articles, technical papers and/or instructional notes on their own time, and copyright for such material shall be vested in the employee. (c) Confidential information shall not be disclosed without written permission of the Ministry head.
