Common use of Cost Breakdown Clause in Contracts

Cost Breakdown. The cost breakdown (the “Cost Breakdown”) for the Work, including by trade, the names of all Subcontractors heretofore engaged and, as attachments, a list of all subcontracts heretofore executed relating to the Work is attached hereto as Exhibits C1 and C2. The Cost Breakdown consists of the Base Bid Work (as defined in Exhibit C2), which is covered by the Contract Sum as of the date hereof, and the Alternates (as defined in Exhibit C3), which may be added to the Contract Sum by Change Order, as provided in Article 5 below. If this Agreement is executed prior to the engagement of Subcontractors and the determination of the Cost Breakdown, the Cost Breakdown shall be initialed by the parties and attached hereto upon its completion. Contractor acknowledges that notwithstanding that the items listed on Exhibits C1, C2 and C3 may not be all inclusive or complete as of the time the parties agree upon the Contract Sum, they are sufficient for determining the Contract Sum for the Work.
