Common use of Creation of Authority Clause in Contracts

Creation of Authority. Pursuant to Article 1, Chapter 5, Division 7, Title 1 Government Code (Sections 6500 et seq.), the parties hereby confirm the existence of an agency as a public entity, separate and apart from the Signatories to this Agreement to be known as SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COASTAL WATER RESEARCH PROJECT AUTHORITY (hereinafter "Authority"). Such agency shall, through the Commission referred to below, administer and execute this Agreement.
