Currency Equivalents Clause Samples

The Currency Equivalents clause defines how amounts stated in one currency are to be converted into another currency for the purposes of the agreement. Typically, it specifies the exchange rate to be used—such as the rate published by a particular bank on a certain date—or outlines the process for determining the applicable rate. This clause is especially important in contracts involving parties from different countries or transactions that may require payments or calculations in multiple currencies. Its core function is to ensure consistency and clarity in financial calculations, thereby preventing disputes over currency conversions.
