Common use of Damage to Personal Items Clause in Contracts

Damage to Personal Items. In the event that an employee has damaged any personal item of clothing or equipment necessary and used in the performance of his duties as a police officer, the employee may submit a request for reimbursement to the Department Head and the City agrees to upon the recommendation of the Department Head to reimburse said employee for the items damaged of a personal nature, not to exceed two hundred fifty ($250) dollars per item for police employees and not to exceed one hundred ($100) dollars per item for non-police employees, provided proof of original purchase price has been provided.
