Common use of Date of Substantial Completion Clause in Contracts

Date of Substantial Completion. The Project and Work for the Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for construction of the Project, all in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Owner or Engineer. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of its Work on the Project, as defined in the General Conditions, within calendar days of the Date of Commencement (“Date of Substantial Completion”). The Contractor shall have its Work for the scope of work, referred to herein as the “Interim Milestone Scope,” substantially complete by , 20 . Substantial Completion is the time at which the Work has progressed to the point where the Work is sufficiently complete, in accordance with the Contract Documents, so that the Work can be utilized for the purposes for which it is intended.
