Declared State of Emergency. (a) In the event of a Declared State of Emergency, or a Declared State of Local Emergency, pursuant to the Emergency Program Act the Chief Constable may direct the operations of the Department for so long as a State Of Emergency or State Of Local Emergency prevails without regard to any limitations imposed by any provision of the Collective Agreement. All time worked by a member in response shall be paid at the member’s regular hourly rate of pay. (b) If a Provincial Emergency Program (PEP) number is assigned to the City of Abbotsford, member wages that are beyond regularly scheduled work (extended tour and/or call-outs) for duties associated to the emergency response will only be taken in pay as the provincial government will only reimburse the Employer if the compensation is taken in pay.
