Deduction Sample Clauses
A Deduction clause allows one party to subtract certain amounts from payments owed to the other party under a contract. Typically, this clause specifies the types of deductions permitted, such as for taxes, penalties, or costs incurred due to the other party’s breach or non-performance. By clearly outlining when and how deductions can be made, the clause helps prevent disputes over payment amounts and ensures that each party understands the circumstances under which payments may be reduced.
