Common use of Deductions and Contributions Clause in Contracts

Deductions and Contributions. (a) The Employer shall withhold from each salary payment the statutory deductions for Employment Insurance ("EI") and Canada Pension Plan ("CPP") premiums, and federal and provincial income tax and such other deductions as may be required by law from time to time. (b) The Employer shall make the required employer contributions to EI and CPP premiums and such other payments required to be made by employers by law, on behalf of the Employee and shall remit these together with the Employee deductions to the Receiver General for Canada, as required.
