DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. ‌ A. The Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees dues for the Teaneck Township Education Association, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association and the National Education Association, as said employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9.e as amended, and under rules established by the State Department of education. Said monies, together with the records of any collections, shall be transmitted to the Treasurer of the Teaneck Township Education Association by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The Association shall supply to its members the proper forms authorizing such deductions. B. If, during the life of this Agreement, there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association shall furnish to the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change and shall furnish to the Board new authorizations from its members showing the individual deduction authorizations, and the total authorized deductions for each employee, it being understood that the only obligation of the Board shall be to remit to the Association the total deduction and not the individual deductions. It shall be the obligation of the Association from the total deduction to make further individual deductions authorized by the members. C. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the Board harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Board in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards submitted by the Association to the Board. D. The program now in force for payroll deductions with the Teaneck School Employees Federal Credit Union shall remain. E. 1. An employee may authorize the Board to make deductions for the purpose of tax sheltered annuities pursuant to the provisions of Section 403(b) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended, and the terms of a group contract approved by the Board.

I also agree that upon termination of employment, the disbursing officer shall deduct any remaining amount due for that current school year. DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Board Township agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees Employees, subject to this Agreement, dues for the Teaneck Township Education Association, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association and the National Education Association, as said employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 123, Public Laws of 1974, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) 52:14-15.9.e 15.9e as amended. B. A check-off shall commence for each Employee who signs a properly dated authorization card, and under rules established supplied by the State Department of education. Said monies, together with the records of any collections, shall be transmitted to the Treasurer of the Teaneck Township Education Association and verified by the 15th of each Township Treasurer, during the month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The Association shall supply to its members filing of such card with the proper forms authorizing such deductionsTownship. B. If, C. It shall be the obligation to become members of the Association and transmit the fee to the majority representative. G. The deduction shall commence for each Employee who elects not to become a member of the Association during the month following written notice from the total deduction Association of the amount of the fair share assessment. A copy of the written notice of the amount of the fair share assessment must also be furnished to make further individual deductions authorized the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission. H. The fair share fee for services rendered by the membersAssociation shall be in an amount equal to the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments of the Association, less the I. The sum representing the fair share fee shall not reflect the costs of financial support of political causes or candidates, except to the extent that it is necessary for the Association to engage lobbying activity designed to ▇▇▇▇▇▇ its policy goals in collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration, and to secure for the Employee it represents advances in wages, hours and other conditions of employment which ordinarily cannot be secured through collective negotiations with the Township. C. ▇. ▇▇▇▇▇ to January 1 and July 31 of each year, the Association shall provide advance written notice to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission, the Township and to all Employees within the unit, the information necessary to compute the fair share fee for services enumerated above. K. The Association shall establish and maintain a procedure whereby any Employee can challenge the assessment as computed by the Association. This appeal procedure shall in no way involve the Township or require the Township to take any action other than to hold the fee in escrow pending resolution of the appeal. L. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the Board Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Board Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards submitted or the fair share assessment information as furnished by the Association to the Board. D. The program now Township, or in force for payroll deductions with reliance upon the Teaneck School Employees Federal Credit Union shall remain. E. 1. An employee may authorize official notification on the Board to make deductions for the purpose of tax sheltered annuities pursuant to the provisions of Section 403(b) letterhead of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended, Association and the terms of a group contract approved signed by the BoardPresident of the Association, advising of such changed deduction.
