DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees, dues for the Brigantine Education Association, the Atlantic County Council of Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association, or the National Education Association, or any one or any combination of such association, as said employee individually and voluntarily authorizes the Board to deduct. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 31 0, Public Laws of 1967, N.J.S.A. 52:14-15. 9e, and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Each of the associations named above shall certify to the Board, in writing, the current rate of its membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change. Additional authorization for dues deduction may be received after August 1 under rules established by the State Department of Education. The filing notice of an employee’s withdrawal shall be prior to December 1 and become effective to halt deductions as of January 1, next succeeding the date on which notice of withdrawal is filed. B. The Board agrees to deduct from employee’s salaries money for local, state, and/or national association’s services and programs as said employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct and to transmit the monies promptly to the Brigantine Education Association. Any employee may have such deductions discontinued at any time upon sixty (60) days written notice to the Board and the appropriate association.

Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 31 0, Public Laws of 1967, N.J.S.A. 52:14-15. 9e, deduct and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies, together with records of any Corrections, shall be transmitted to the Treasurer of the Brigantine Education Association by the fifteenth (15th) of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions are made. Each member desiring continuous membership dues deduction shall indicate such on the authorization form, pursuant to Section A above, by the first teacher workday of each school year. New employees shall indicate such authorization within fourteen (14) days of starting work. C. An Association member may resign his membership at any time by so notifying the Association and the Board in writing. The Association shall certify to the Board, in writing, the current rate of its unified membership duesdues by the Wednesday before the first payroll period date. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 31 0233, New Jersey Public Laws of 1967, N.J.S.A. 1969 (NJSA 52:14-15. 9e, 15.9e) and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies, together with current records of any Correctionscorrections, shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time be designated by the Treasurer of the Brigantine Seaside Park Education Association by the fifteenth (15th) 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions are were made. The Association Treasurer person designated shall disburse such monies to the appropriate association or associations. Employee authorizations shall be in writing. 2. Any employee teacher may have such deductions discontinued at any time upon sixty (60) days written notice to the Board and an the appropriate associationassociations.

Said monies, together with records of any Corrections, shall be transmitted to the Treasurer of the Brigantine Education Association and verified by the fifteenth (15th) of each Township Treasurer, during the month following the monthly pay period filing of such card with the Township. C. If during the life of this Agreement there shall be any change in which deductions are made. The membership dues, the Association Treasurer shall disburse such monies furnish to the appropriate association or associations. Employee authorizations shall be in writing. Each of the associations named above shall certify to the Board, in writing, the current rate of its membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board Township written notice thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of such changechange and shall furnish to the Township either new authorization forms from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee, or an official notification on the letterhead of the Association, signed by the Association President, advising of such changed deduction. D. The Association will provide the necessary "check-off authorization" forms. Said moniesmoneys, together with current records of any Correctionscorrections, shall be transmitted to the Treasurer of the Brigantine Education Association such person as may from time to time be designated by the fifteenth (15th) of Association each month within three days following the monthly pay period in which deductions are were made. Each of the associations Associations named above shall certify to the Board, in writing, the current rate of its membership dues. Additional authorization Any individual, covered in whole or in part by this agreement, who does not become a member of the Association during any membership year, shall be required to pay a representation fee to the Association. Said fee shall not exceed 85% of the combined dues of any full member of the Association. The Board agrees to deduct from employee’s employees’ salaries money for local, state, and/or national association’s services and other programs as said employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct and to transmit the monies promptly moneys within three (3) days of deduction, to the Brigantine Education Associationsuch agencies. Any employee may have such deductions started or discontinued at any time upon sixty fifteen (6015) days written notice to the Board and the appropriate associationagency. This shall include: • Automatic Payroll Deductions for a credit union designated by the Association • Automatic Payroll Deductions for participation in a Tax Sheltered Annuity program. • Automatic Payroll Deduction program for disability insurance programs. 5. All employees may individual elect to have any percent of their monthly salary deducted from their pay. These funds shall be paid to the staff member on the final workday in June or deposited monthly into an account of their bank or credit union. The Board shall provide an authorization form to be completed by each participating employee. Once the percentage or dollar amount has been elected, and the repository for these funds has been chosen, there can be no changes made for the duration of the current school year.

Such deductions deduction shall be made in compliance with Chapter 31 0310, Public Laws of 1967, N.J.S.A. 52:141967 (NJSA 52:1 4-15. 9e, 15.9e) and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies, together with records of any Corrections, shall be transmitted to the Treasurer of the Brigantine Education Association by the fifteenth (15thNEA) of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions are made. The Association Treasurer shall disburse such monies to the appropriate association or associations. Employee authorizations shall be in writing. In the event that an employee may have terminates employment, the Board shall deduct the balance of the unpaid dues for the current membership year from the employee’s final pay check and transmit these dues promptly to the Association. B. Payroll deductions will be available at the request of the employee for the plans and ▇▇▇▇▇ listed below. Except in case of emergency, the Board shall distribute all monies from payroll deduction accounts to the proper recipients within ten (10) workdays of its deduction following the pay date. 1. 403b Programs - A list of companies authorized to offer 403b products to the employees of the Board will be made available to all employees by September 1 of each fiscal year beginning July 1. 2. Insurance plans approved by the Association and the Board. 3. Employees desiring payroll deductions for ▇▇▇▇▇ shall notify the Board in writing with fifteen (15) days notice. C. The Board agrees to deduct charitable contributions from employees’ salaries only for charity fund drives approved by the Association and the Board when the employee has duly authorized such deductions discontinued at any time upon sixty and has voluntarily determined the amount of such a contribution.
